  1. Application of this Policy

This Privacy and Cookie Policy applies to Personal Data controlled and/or processed by “Aria Hotels S.A.”, 4 Kadmou Milisiou str., Nea Smirni, P.C. 171 22, Attica – Greece, tel: +30 210 2207680.

Reference to “Aria”, “Aria Hotels”, “the Company”, “us”, “we”, “ours”, and other related terms may refer to one or more companies of Aria Hotels Group of companies.

In this Policy, the term “Personal Data” means any information or combination of information that could be used to identify a living individual.

This privacy notice provides information on how Aria Hotels collects and processes your Personal Data when you visit our website (the “Site”) and information on the cookies used on the Site.

 

  1. What information do we collect?

We collect and process various items of information that you provide to us, in connection with our facilities and services. You may request a detailed list of the provided facilities and services at info@ariahotels.gr. The information we collect may include:

  • personal contact details such as name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address,
  • your preferences regarding information and events,
  • any other information you choose to provide to us in connection with the reservation, accommodation, or visit to Aria Hotels. We may also ask you to fill out surveys that we use for research purposes, although you are not required to respond to them,
  • your social media accounts and related links,
  • Your CV information (in case you apply for a job position).

This information is collected directly from you, as well as through third parties that you have authorized to provide such information. Please note that we do not process data for minors under the age of 18.

 

  1. How do we use your Personal Data?

Without prejudice to Greek and European data protection legislation, we may use your Personal Data for a variety of purposes, including:

  • to provide the services you request,
  • to communicate with you,
  • to deliver information about us and the work we do,
  • to improve our Site and services,
  • and for other legitimate business purposes.

We may send you marketing emails promoting our Hotels and Villas. We will always offer you an “opt-out” option, which you may use at any time you wish to cease receiving e-mails or other information from us.

If you submit your CV through our Site at https://www.ariahotels.gr/careers/, we will use your personal information to process and evaluate your job application. We may also use your Personal Data to send you announcements for future employment opportunities.   1. To whom do we disclose your Personal Data?

We may disclose your information to:

  • other companies connected with us; and
  • companies we have engaged to provide services on our behalf, under conditions of confidentiality.

  • where we have reason to believe that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our staff, customers, or the public.

Please note that the Site may include links to third-party websites whose privacy practices may differ from our own. Aria Hotels retains your data only for the time necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or until requested to be deleted (if this occurs earlier), with the express exception of cases where the law or certain circumstances determine differently.

Some categories of data may be retained for longer to defend the company’s rights and exercise its legitimate claims.

Your rights concerning your Personal Data are the following:

  • The Right of Access. You have the right to know what data is being or has been collected about you and how these data are being processed,
  • The Right to Data Portability. You have the right to transfer Personal Data from one electronic processing system to and into another electronic processing system (even between organizations),
  • The Right to Erasure (where there is no longer any legitimate basis for processing it). When a Data Controller is relying on your consent as their legal basis to process your Personal Data, you have the right to withdraw consent and ask for your Personal Data to be deleted,
  • The Right to Correction. You have the right to make changes to inaccurate Personal Data,
  • The Right in the scope of Consent. Being the subject, you must be informed in clear and plain language. If the Data Controller is relying on your consent to process your Personal Data, you may object to elements of processing or withdraw your consent altogether,

Our Site uses “cookies” and similar technology. Information provided by the user is stored and packaged into a cookie which will then be sent to your web browser for later use, to make browsing the internet an easier experience.

  1. Storage, security, and third-party links

All information you provide to us through our Site is stored on our secure servers. All web traffic (file transfer) between this Site and your browser is encrypted and transferred via the HTTPS protocol using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

Several security measures are in place so that Aria Hotels can protect the integrity of its communication and computing infrastructure, such as authentication methods, monitoring, control, and encryption technology. However, despite our best efforts, the transmission of information over the Internet can never be completely secure. Although we have strict procedures and security measures, we cannot guarantee the security of the data transmitted to our Site. Therefore, any data transmission done electronically is at your own risk.

Our IT infrastructure is in Greece and the data collection and processing process is in accordance with Greek and European data protection legislation. However, your data may be transmitted and stored at various other destinations within or outside the European Economic Area. By submitting your data to us and using our facilities and services, you agree that your data may be sent to countries with laws that provide less protection for your Personal Data. We undertake all commercial efforts to ensure that your data is stored for a period not exceeding what is necessary for the purposes for which it was acquired.

  1. Close Circuit Surveillance System (CCTV)

With regards to the properties where Aria is the data controller, the sole purpose of the video surveillance system is the protection of persons and goods from illegal acts (Article 6 par. 1 of the GDPR), ensuring life safety, health, and physical integrity, as well as the property of our clients, staff and third parties, legally located in the supervised area. We only collect image data, with a specific angle, such as the cashier and entrance, with respect to the personal data and in such a way that the privacy of the persons whose image is captured is not unduly restricted.

The material collected and kept by the Data Controller is accessible only by our authorized personnel who are responsible for the security of the property and is not transmitted to third parties, except for the competent judicial, prosecutorial, and police authorities or the subject himself if this is requested or becomes necessary due to the occurrence of a specific criminal offense. The data are kept for fifteen (15) days, after which they are automatically deleted. If during that period an incident occurs, the relevant part of the video is isolated, and that part is kept for a period of one (1) month, to investigate the incident and if necessary to defend our legitimate interests. In case the incident concerns a third party, the material is kept for a period of three (3) months.

In the material collected by such CCTV, data subjects have the rights of access, restriction, objection, and deletion. You can exercise your rights by sending an e-mail to info@ariahotels.gr   or a letter to our above postal address, specifying the exact time and date were in the video surveillance area. Please note that the exercise of the right to object or erasure does not imply the immediate deletion of data or the modification of processing for the reasons mentioned above. In any case, we will reply to you in detail as soon as possible, within the deadlines set by the GDPR. In case you consider that the processing of the data concerning you, violates the GDPR, you have the right to file a complaint to the competent supervisory authority, Data Protection Authority.
