The Property
NYMA Tegea is a thoughtfully designed complex of three buildings arranged around a beautifully preserved internal courtyard. At its heart stands a charming 1935 stone building, carefully restored to preserve its original character and historical features, now serving as the centrepiece of the hotel. Two additional buildings, newly constructed with architectural sensitivity, embrace the courtyard, creating a harmonious dialogue between old and new.
The architecture combines traditional Greek materials, including stone and wood, with contemporary elements that respect the scale, rhythm, and authenticity of the local environment. The preservation and reuse of original materials are central to the design, reinforcing the hotel’s connection to the area’s heritage while reflecting a thoughtful approach to sustainability.
